Fellows-to-Faculty Award request for applications
Fellows-to-Faculty Award request for applications
The Simons Foundation’s Autism & Neuroscience division is pleased to announce that the Fellows-to-Faculty Award request for applications (RFA) is now open. This award is a new iteration of the previously offered Simons Foundation Independence Awards.
The Fellows-to-Faculty Award program supports talented early-career scientists and their research vision as they transition into tenure-track or equivalent faculty positions.
For the 2025 RFA, we are accepting applications through:
- Simons Foundation Autism Research Initiative (SFARI)
- Simons Collaboration on Plasticity and the Aging Brain (SCPAB)
The RFA is intended for senior postdoctoral scholars or equivalent researchers whose backgrounds and experiences are underrepresented in science. Prospective applicants are encouraged to review SFARI scientific perspectives and SCPAB’s mission before applying. We welcome applications from scientists with a previous background in these areas and those newly applying their expertise to these areas.
Awardees receive funding toward the end of their postdoctoral career and a commitment of a $600,000 USD faculty research grant. Fellows may activate the award funding at institutions within or outside the United States.
The deadline for application submission is Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) ET. Detailed information and application instructions are available here.
